The Green Pencil Foundation, in collaboration with ComMutiny – The Youth Collective, successfully conducted a Campus Climate Vartaleap at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 28, Faridabad. The initiative aimed to engage students in active learning about climate change, sustainability, and practical steps they can take to protect the environment.

The event brought together students, educators, and mentors for an interactive session that combined discussions, creative exercises, and hands-on activities designed to inspire youth-led environmental action.

Mr. Sanjay Yadav, Principal of the school, joined the Vartaleap as a Guest Speaker, emphasizing the critical role of students in promoting sustainable practices both in school and in their communities. “Young minds are the key to shaping a sustainable future. By understanding climate issues and taking small but consistent actions, students can become true agents of change,” he stated.

The session was facilitated by Mr. Sandy Khanda, Founder of Green Pencil Foundation, and Mr. Aakash Mahato, National Operations Head. Together, they guided students through thought-provoking discussions on energy conservation, waste management, and eco-friendly practices that can be implemented at home and school.

Mr. Sandy Khanda highlighted the importance of collective effort, saying:

“Every action matters. Whether it’s planting trees, reducing waste, or spreading awareness, students have the power to create a ripple effect for climate action in their communities.”

The Campus Climate Vartaleap concluded with students pledging to incorporate sustainable practices into their daily lives and to become advocates for climate awareness among their peers.

Through programs like this, the Green Pencil Foundation continues to empower students to actively participate in building a greener and more sustainable future, reinforcing the idea that youth-led initiatives can drive meaningful change.
