Sowing Sustainability: Eco-Education to Faridabad School

In a powerful stride toward building a greener future, Green Pencil Foundation, in collaboration with Imperial Auto under its CSR initiative, organized an impactful Sustainable Practices Workshop at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 28, Faridabad.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 200 students ranging from class 6 to 12, who were trained in simple yet effective sustainable practices aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Led by Mr. Sandy Khanda, Founder of Green Pencil Foundation, and supported by trainers Mr. Prem Kumar, Saubhagya, Abhijeet Mondal, and Alok Kumar, the workshop focused on the urgent need for climate action, environmental awareness, and sustainable lifestyle choices.

School Principal Mr. Sanjay Yadav, along with dedicated faculty members including Mr. Satpal Singh, joined hands in making the session interactive and informative. The highlight of the event was the distribution of Sustainable Kits to students — a gesture made possible through CSR support from Imperial Auto.

To give back to nature, the team also planted five native Jamun trees, each standing at 6 feet tall, symbolizing long-term commitment to ecological balance and community well-being.

At the close of the session, Principal Mr. Yadav expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Green Pencil Foundation and Imperial Auto team. He also presented an Appreciation Letter, recognizing their efforts under the Clean and Green Faridabad Mission.

This workshop marks another milestone in Green Pencil Foundation’s mission to nurture eco-conscious young citizens and champion grassroots-level change for a healthier planet.
