Green Pencil Foundation Highlights Climate Action Initiatives on Radio City 91.1 FM

In the lead-up to World Environment Day, Mr. Sandy Khanda, Founder and Director of the Green Pencil Foundation, was featured in a special radio interview on Radio City 91.1 FM. The interview shed light on the Foundation’s growing impact across Delhi, Gurugram, and Faridabad through its wide-ranging CSR initiatives focused on climate education, community awareness, and grassroots climate action.

During the broadcast, Mr. Khanda discussed with RJ Divya , how the Green Pencil Foundation has been working in close partnership with schools, colleges, local communities, and corporate partners to promote sustainability and climate resilience. He emphasized the Foundation’s flagship programs—‘Sustainable Practices at Home,’ ‘Slum to School,’ and the ‘Clean and Green Faridabad Mission’, which have collectively reached thousands of students and citizens through workshops, plantation drives, reusable kit distribution, and clean-up campaigns.

“Our mission is to empower communities with the knowledge, tools, and habits they need to lead climate-conscious lives,” Mr. Khanda said during the interview. “Radio is a powerful medium to reach people at scale, and we’re grateful to Radio City for giving us this platform to share our vision for a cleaner, greener future.”

The Foundation’s ongoing efforts align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and support the Government of India’s ‘Viksit Bharat’ mission, aiming to build an inclusive and environmentally sustainable India.

The Radio City 91.1 FM interview forms part of a broader communication strategy to amplify climate literacy and mobilize public participation, especially among youth and marginalized communities.
