Green Pencil Foundation, in partnership with Imperial Auto under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, organized a Sustainable Practices Workshop at Government Senior Secondary School, Sector 7, Sehi, Faridabad. The workshop aimed to cultivate sustainable habits among students, with 250 participants from classes 6 to 12.
This initiative was supported by Jagran Connect, a community platform of Jagran Media, as the Digital Media Partner, and Manav Rachna Radio as the Radio Partner, amplifying the outreach and impact of the campaign.
During the workshop, students were educated about waste management, waste segregation, civic sense, and sustainable practices, encouraging them to adopt responsible habits that positively impact the environment.
Mrs. Seema Gautam, Principal of the school, expressed her appreciation, saying, “Imperial Auto and Green Pencil Foundation are laying a strong foundation for a clean and green Faridabad through these workshops.”
Mr. Gaurav Mishra, Co-founder of Green Pencil Foundation, emphasized the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility, stating, “Through impactful and meaningful initiatives in partnership with Imperial Auto, we are driving positive change in society.”
Mr. Sandy Khanda, Founder of Green Pencil Foundation, highlighted the pressing issue of climate change, stating, “We are facing challenges like climate change, air pollution, heat waves, urban flooding, and excessive use of single-use plastics. Adopting sustainable practices is essential to combat these issues.”
Mr. Prem Kumar, City Head of Green Pencil Foundation, Delhi, elaborated on the practical strategies of the ‘Clean and Green Faridabad Mission,’ saying, “We are implementing both theoretical and practical approaches to make our mission successful. Our workshops encourage tree plantations, the use of cloth bags instead of polythene, and metal bottles instead of plastic water bottles to reduce single-use plastic waste and improve air quality in Faridabad.”
He further added, “Our mission is strongly aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Viksit Bharat 2047, ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative, and the Pradhan Mantri Suryodaya Yojana.”
Together, Green Pencil Foundation and Imperial Auto, with the support of Jagran Connect and Manav Rachna Radio, are taking a significant step towards achieving the goals of the ‘Clean and Green Faridabad Mission’ and contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and Viksit Bharat 2047 through the impactful initiative of ‘Sustainable Practices Workshops.’
