Workshop on Sustainable Practices at Kirori Mal College

The Green Pencil Foundation, committed to promoting sustainability and environmental awareness, conducted an insightful session on Sustainable Practices at Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi. The session was led by the Foundation’s Founder and Director, Mr. Sandy Khanda, and was organized in collaboration with Bhoomi – The Eco Club of Kirori Mal College.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 100 students, all eager to understand and adopt sustainable habits in their daily lives. The session focused on practical steps to reduce carbon footprints, manage waste effectively, and embrace eco-friendly alternatives in urban lifestyles.

The session was graced by Professor Dinesh Khattar, Principal of Kirori Mal College, and Prof. Renu Kathpalia, Convenor of the Eco Club, who acknowledged the significance of sustainability in today’s world and encouraged students to be proactive in environmental conservation.

During his address, Mr. Sandy Khanda emphasized the urgency of sustainable living, citing the growing threats of climate change, pollution, and resource depletion. He shared valuable insights on waste segregation, plastic reduction, renewable energy, and adopting eco-conscious habits that contribute to a healthier planet.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Bhoomika Tyagi, President of Bhoomi – The Eco Club, who expressed gratitude to Mr. Sandy Khanda for his valuable time and guidance in inspiring students toward sustainability.

With such impactful initiatives, the Green Pencil Foundation continues its mission to educate and engage communities in building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
