Green Pencil Foundation Brings Education to Mansarovar Park Slum

On 15th December 2024, the Delhi team of the Green Pencil Foundation conducted an impactful educational drive in the Mansarovar Park slum area under its flagship initiative, “Slum to School.” The program aimed to uplift underprivileged children by providing access to education and fostering a love for learning. The drive witnessed the participation of 35 children, who engaged enthusiastically in activities designed to enhance their knowledge and confidence.

Led by Mr. Prem Kumar, Delhi City Head of the Green Pencil Foundation, the initiative was supported by committed volunteers, including Satyan Rawat and two other team members. The volunteers organized interactive sessions, distributed educational materials, and encouraged the children to pursue their dreams through consistent learning.

Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Prem Kumar shared, “Education is a powerful tool for change. Through initiatives like ‘Slum to School,’ we aim to empower children with the skills and knowledge they need to create a brighter future for themselves and their communities.”

The drive is part of the foundation’s broader vision to bridge educational gaps in marginalized communities. The Green Pencil Foundation plans to conduct similar activities across various slum areas in Delhi and other cities, ensuring no child is left behind in the pursuit of education.

The success of the event highlights the importance of community-driven efforts to create sustainable change. The foundation extends its gratitude to the volunteers whose dedication made the event possible.
