Christmas is a time of compassion, sharing, and togetherness and this year, the Green Pencil Foundation embraced these values by celebrating the festival with children from our Slum to School initiative at Mansarovar Park, Delhi.

The celebration brought together 78 children and 10 committed volunteers, all united by a simple purpose: to spread joy, warmth, and hope. For many of these children, moments like these are not just celebrations but reminders that they are seen, cared for, and valued.

As part of the winter support, 55 children received warm jackets and 120 pairs of socks were distributed, helping protect them from the harsh cold while restoring a sense of comfort and dignity. Beyond material support, the day was filled with laughter, shared eatables, cheerful conversations, and genuine smiles that lit up the space.
The Christmas celebration was more than an event, it was an experience of belonging. Volunteers engaged with the children, listened to their stories, and celebrated their innocence and resilience. These moments reaffirmed our belief that small acts of kindness can create a lasting impact.

At Green Pencil Foundation, we believe that every child deserves a safe, healthy, and joyful childhood, regardless of their circumstances. Through the Slum to School initiative, we continue to work towards building an inclusive society where care, education, and compassion go hand in hand.
This Christmas, the warmth we shared went far beyond jackets and socks ,it lived in smiles, hope, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
