The initiative brought together around 150 student volunteers, all determined to tackle the pressing issue of water pollution.

Collaborators and Leadership

The Green Brigade, the Environment Society of College of Vocational Studies, Delhi University, joined as the main collaborator, along with Bhoomi – The Eco Club of Kirori Mal College, Delhi University. To provide deeper insights into water contamination and Yamuna’s pollution crisis, the event featured an expert session by Pankaj Kumar, an environmentalist and the founder of Eco Warrior. He shed light on the critical state of the Yamuna, its causes of pollution, and potential solutions for its restoration. His session inspired volunteers to take continued action in safeguarding the environment.

Encouraging Sustainable Practices

The Green Pencil Foundation team reinforced the message of sustainability by distributing 100 reusable metal bottles and cloth bags to the participants. These items symbolize the Foundation’s commitment to reducing plastic waste and promoting eco-friendly alternatives.

To appreciate the hard work and dedication of the volunteers, the Foundation also distributed refreshments at the end of the drive, ensuring the participants stayed energized after their efforts.

As a token of recognition, all participants received a Certificate of Participation, acknowledging their contribution to the cause.
