GPF Conducts Intergenerational Bonding Session at GGSSS Chhainsa, Faridabad

The Green Pencil Foundation, in collaboration with the National Institute of Social Defence (NISD) under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, successfully conducted a one-day Non-Residential Programme on Intergenerational Bonding at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Chhainsa, Faridabad. The interactive session was led by Mr. Aakash Mahato, National Operations Head of the Green Pencil Foundation. Around 75 students participated in the programme, which focused on fostering mutual respect, empathy, and understanding between different generations. Through engaging discussions and activities, students explored how positive intergenerational relationships can strengthen families and communities. The programme emphasized the importance of sharing values, knowledge, and experiences between youth and elders — a key step in promoting social harmony and inclusion. This initiative is part of the ongoing series of sensitization programmes being organized by the Green Pencil Foundation and NISD across Haryana districts including Faridabad, Gurugram, Jind, and Karnal, with the aim of building stronger intergenerational connections and a more compassionate society.
